How Do I Select The Right Hypnotist For Me?

With the popularity of hypnosis on the rise and with more people succeeding in life through this powerful process of communication, the most common question that I get from potential clients is “how do I select the right hypnotist to work with?” This short article will provide some simple guidelines to follow when choosing the hypnotist that will best help you succeed at achieving your goals.

The very first thing that should be examined when selecting a hypnotist to work with is to be sure that they have completed professional training and have professional credentials. When prospecting a potential hypnotist, take some to time to review their background in regards to their training. Make sure that they went through a qualified professional certification program from a reputable organization. In my opinion, a hypnotist’s level of education plays a pivotal role in their ability to help you elicit the desired changes you want to create. If they just went through a weekend training course, chances are slim that they will have the necessary skill set to effect change. Formal education in the fields of psychology, counseling, or psychotherapy is a plus, but not necessarily a requirement. There are many skilled hypnotists out there without this background in academia, but who have undergone qualified certification programs that can do the job. Just make sure to some homework to ensure they have solid credentials in the field.

Second, make sure the hypnotist has a track record of success. It is perfectly acceptable to ask the hypnotist about their experience in relation to the issue you are looking to overcome. Do they have real testimonials on their website? Are there previous clients who you can call or talk to? Have they worked with reputable organizations? These are all valid questions when selecting a hypnotist to help you succeed. Success breeds success and you want to seek out the best in the particular area you are looking to succeed in.

Next, when selecting a hypnotist make sure it is a person you feel comfortable with. Rapport and trust go a long way when working with anybody in this regard or any therapeutic situation. Without trust and rapport you will have a hard time entering a state of hypnosis and opening up in a way that will help you to make the changes. A golden rule to follow is if you don’t feel comfortable with the person you are working with they are not the right hypnotist for you.

Finally, it is important that you do not select your hypnotist based on price. There are many people that will find a directory of local hypnotists or go through the yellow pages calling around to find the hypnotist with the cheapest prices. This is not in your best interest. If you were going in for heart surgery would you seek out the cheapest heart surgeon? Obviously not. You would want to go to the person who was the most skilled for the job. If they were the cheapest that would only be a bonus. Selecting a hypnotist is the same thing. If you are serious about improving the quality of your life be sure to select the one who can get the job done right rather than wasting money with a person who is the cheapest around. It will actually cost you more money and time if you pick your hypnotist based on price so be willing to invest a little more in the hypnotist who does the best work. You will be happier and more successful in the long run.

If you follow these simple guidelines when seeking out a hypnotist you will find the one that is a perfect match for you. Hypnosis Isn't About Giving Up Control...It's How YOU Can Take Back Control!

HYPNOSIS ISN’T ABOUT GIVING UP CONTROL…IT IS HOW YOU CAN TAKE BACK CONTROL!

For the vast majority of people, the word hypnosis conjures up ideas of a person taking control of someone’s mind to perform or do things they normally would not do. These perceptions of hypnosis stem from the creative minds of fiction writers and Hollywood film makers who don’t have the slightest clue about what hypnosis really is. This past false understanding of hypnosis has truly limited the world to the potential they can release in themselves by employing this remarkable tool in their lives. With more than 27 million adults in the United States on some sort of anti-depressant medication, it is more important than ever to re-educate the public on how they can improve the quality of their lives naturally by learning to tap into the power of their minds. The intention behind this article is to open people’s eyes to the truth about hypnosis, and how this process can transform someone’s life in a short period of time. Prepare yourself for the true paradigm of hypnosis.

Everybody can be hypnotized. In fact, without even knowing it, you have already experienced a state of hypnosis several times today. Throughout our daily lives, every human being on the face of the Earth enters a form of hypnosis a minimum of 7-10 times. For the majority of people this occurs much more than this each and every day. Have you ever found yourself daydreaming at work? If you are like most people, I’m sure you have zoned out while watching a television show or cried during a movie. Have you ever found yourself driving your car on autopilot only to pass your exit on the highway or find yourself at your home or work without remembering how you got there? You have probably had times when you turned on the radio only to hear a song that reminded you of a person or event from the past which instantly caused you to re-experience the situation. Did you ever get a great massage and when it was over wonder where the time went? These are just a few of the examples of every day states of hypnosis that occur naturally throughout our daily lives.

Hypnosis is nothing supernatural or mystical in nature. It is not a skill or gift that some people can do while others cannot. It has nothing to do with weak mindedness or giving up control. Hypnosis is a natural function of the human mind that is proven by science through EKG’s and ƒmri’s, not some weird phenomena like how it is projected in the movies. Science and modern technology have discovered that a state of hypnosis is just entering into a different brainwave frequency that occurs naturally just like in the previously stated examples described earlier. It has been proven that every human mind fluctuates between 4 brainwaves through the day. These brainwaves are Beta, Alpha, Theta, and Delta.

Without going into a long dissertation on brainwave entrancement, here is a simplified and extremely brief explanation of these brainwave frequencies. Beta brainwaves occur when we are wide awake and fully alert in our day. These brainwaves appear as very short and fast frequencies. They are representative of the activity of the conscious mind and help us with problem solving, analysis of information, and critical thinking. While in this state of mind, there is a constant flow of thoughts at a rate of several hundred thoughts per minute, but what is unfortunate is that the majority of these thoughts are primarily negative in the average person. On the opposite end of the spectrum we have delta waves. Delta waves occur when we are in an unconscious state of mind or in the natural sleep state we enter each night of our lives. In between being fully conscious (wide awake) and being fully unconscious (sleep) there are two other brainwaves that occur throughout our day that are altered states of consciousness called alpha and theta. Alpha waves occur when we are in a light state of mental relaxation, similar to when we drive our car on autopilot or letting go during a nice massage. Theta waves are more profound and a deeper state of mental relaxation such as periods of deep meditation, focused prayer, or deep hypnosis. While the human mind is in these states, the mind has increased suggestibility and receptivity to new ideas, beliefs, behaviors, and attitudes. These altered states of consciousness are the “super learning” states of mind. These states open the door to direct communication to the subconscious mind or the super computer between our ears that directs our life. During the first 7 years of our lives, beta waves (or the analytical brainwaves) do not exist. The mind of a child operates between alpha and theta waves all day long. This enables children to learn, absorb, and assimilate massive amounts of information without any effort. Think about how hard it can be to learn a second language as an adult yet little children can learn to speak their native tongue and in fact learn multiple languages easily due to operating in these super learning brainwave frequencies.

In order to make changes in one’s life, it isn’t necessary to spend 20 years in therapy, get the latest medication, or suffer with the misery of trying to use willpower to create improvements. Every human being has the ability, means, and the potential to improve their lives at lightning like speeds once they learn how to re-access the super learning states of mind (alpha and theta waves). Hypnosis is a process that makes this possible. The process of hypnosis isn’t about giving up control, but it teaches a person how to take back control of their own mind. A hypnotist doesn’t have any power over another person, but serves as a teacher and a guide that directs the client into these super learning states so that they can make improvements in their life easily and effortlessly. Since success in any area of life begins with thought, hypnosis is quite possibly the most powerful communication process to transform a person’s life in a rapid way. When a person learns the truth about hypnosis, that it is rooted in the science not the fictional stories created by Hollywood, it literally opens the door to creating the life that they have always dreamed of.
